Moving to Dettingen Park, Deepcut Camberley

Hi everyone,

We are looking to move from Woking to a nearby area as Woking is out of our budget for a house. Husband has his heart set on a property in Dettingen Park in Deepcut.I liked the house but was wondering what sort of an area is it? We have a little one starting school next year and one of the reasons for liking Dettingen Park is it being in catchment for some outstanding schools(Dettingen Park,Ravenscote & Tomlinscote). or thats what the agent told us.is it near enough for these schools or are we still at a risk of not getting in ??are there good activities for kids around the area? Football, swimming library etc.
Any information would be welcome. Would put my mind at ease while making such a big decision.

We live a bit closer to Deepcut than you do and I know the development you're talking about. IMO it looks a bit out of place and stuck in the middle of nowhere. Personally if I wanted Tomlinscote etc, I'd move to one of the older housing estates in Frimley which is likely to be a bit cheaper (I'd guess) and probably bigger gardens and driveways but a more boring looking house as they're 60s and 70s style.

Which developments in Frimley would you recommend
I have seen some houses in Frimley Green that were nice but I thought that is too far to get into Ravenscote? They have a good infant school but I was concerned about the Junior school

Check the planning application for the army land there. The last I saw they were planning a huge development which would gridlock the roads.

There's loads of building work coming up. But the Deepcut cafe is brilliant
