has anyone had any good experiences recently with using Ikea or flat-pack assembly companies? Task Rabbit got in touch as a result of Ikea forwarding them my details and then it turns out they can't do the units I had bought!

Can you not assemble them yourself?

You can do it yourself? It's not difficult, and you don't need a massive tool selection.

assembly is usually pretty straightforward, unless the items are large wardrobes when I have needed DH to help, otherwise tend to assemble by myself although can be a bit of a PITA

Whilst it is perfectly possible to do it yourself, it is also perfectly possible to clean your own house but people still pay other people to do it...

Nothing wrong with a bit of outsourcing!

@lohengrin13 I had a good experience with www.flatpackassembly.org.uk/

Oh, but their website appears not to be working, so maybe they don't exist any more.

Task Rabbit is great. Most people on there have reviews and a bio telling you their experience score you decide.
