Anyone due to exchange this week?

I'm still holding on to the vague hope it'll all come together and we can exchange Thursday for a Monday move next week.

Just called EA and a staff member answered so I asked to speak to the manager (dealing with our purchase). After a short time I was told he was on the other line. Hmmm or just avoiding me. We'll see how quickly he returns the call. I just want to ask him to call seller's solicitor. Going to be a long day!

Us, hopefully! Given that we said we wanted to complete end of June...

When are you hoping to exchange/complete? Ours is going to be tight to be able to complete on Monday. Were supposed to exchange Friday but still need one answer from sellers and buyers signed the wrong bit if the contract Angry

We want to exchange soon to complete end of Aug. The complication is that our buyers have to give notice on their tenancy this week. If we don't exchange this week - I'm not sure what will happen...

Me hopefully. All the contracts have been signed and a completion date at the end of august agreed so fingers crossed there is no more delays.

Keep checking my emails and phone to see if it has been confirmed!

Our solicitor is planning to have documents and contract emailed to us tomorrow, which we will need to sign, scan and post back. They will exchange with the scanned versions so long as they have the posted originals by completion. Nothing like last minute!

I'm massively relieved we have exchanged today but completing in 3 weeks. We have to give notice on a tenancy so I'm glad to have avoided another months rent. Good luck everyone! This must be the busiest month for moves with school holidays etc.

Summer holiday move is a nightmare for us as both dh and I work in places where annual leave is booked way ahead of time and only one person can be off so we're having to talk nicely to our bosses. Mine is more understanding than dh's. Also dc aren't in school. I think a school day would have been a lot easier but really don't want to wait until September. We've been pushing for early August based on sellers wanting quick move but of course it's their solicitor holding it all up.
