Ikea Sofas, leather kivik

I'm looking for a new 3 seater around the 1k mark. The leather Kiv has caught my eye but worried about how the leather will wear. Are Ikea Sofas any good? Does anyone have a Kivit, if so do you love or hate it?

Friends of ours have an Ikea leather sofa which is still going string after about 10 years.... They have 2 young kids so it gets well used!

I considered buying a kivik and spent hours searching for reviews. It seems to be a great sofa that lasts well, the only reason I didn't buy it was I felt it was just too big for my house and I fancied a sofa with legs to give the illusion of more floor space.
