Thanks everyone for your help deciding on location. We offered on 'west wimbledon' ;) - SW20 and it was accepted! We're currently going through the ubiquitous joy of solicitors, surveys and paperwork and optimistically hoping we'll be in come September so our sons can start new school at the start of the school term.
We have quite a bit of work to do with not a lot of money so would appreciate your honest & experienced recommendations on professionals / tradesmen that we can work with:
- Architect / technical drawers around improving the layout of the house
- Professional builders for brick restoration (paint removal) and repointing front of the house; restoring some of the period features and installing a new brick fence; Victorian style gate and tiled entrance
- Buying and Fitting new bathroom and toilet
We're planning on doing a lot more but those are the main ones to start with.
