Tipping removal men

Do people tip removal men, and if so how much? Just wondering for our imminent move.

I'm minded not to as they are charging a fortune already and I consider it their job, but if its the done thing then I would happily do it.
Or will yummy biscuits suffice?

We had a horrendous move so at about 6pm gave both the men working £20 each. We more than got it back in good will.

I wouldn't necessarily tip on a straightforward move though.

I gave mine £20 each. They were great putting furniture together for me and keeping me sane.

It's a case of beer over here or the equivalent of about £50 to take themselves to the pub at the end of the day.

Dp used to be one, £20 standard though he's had £100s too Shock

I give £20 each, we have moved every two years for the past ten.

We were so lucky with ours and they ended up moving more than they'd quoted for as we were going to get rid of some furniture we they kept.

Think we tipped them £10 each which rounded the bill up to £500. It was a horrifically warm day to move and the were stars. Hadn't had movers before so didn't know the etiquette but it felt right at the time and they seemed quite surprised!

50 between 3. Not sure how they split it. Smile
