I have a 3 bed semi ex council house that needs repointing.

How much does repointing cost???? A bit worried it'll be a couple of grand or something.

Depends on the size of the walls and whereabouts you are. I think a couple of grand may be in the ballpark.

Scaffolding alone, essential for any significant amount of repointing at high level, is likely to cost several hundred pounds. To repoint an entire house, front side and back, is likely to take a couple of weeks so I think a couple of thousand is probably a good guess.

Thought so. I'll ring a couple of companies today and get some quotes. Then can consider if it's me that goes up the ladder instead lol

We repainted the flank wall of our 3 bed end of terrace (Victorian- so standard brick size) plus parts of the front and back, and with scaffolding it came to £2500. It's a bit of a back breaking job as you need to scrape out the old cement first and you want them to do it neatly when repointing so it looks good.

Repointed not repainted
