Has anyone put laminate/engineered wood onto stairs?

Engineered wood. From Surrey Flooring. You need to consider the pinch point where the stairs pass under the upstairs floor. It meant we had to duck slightly as we didn't have as much clearance as before, but we honestly forgot about it as we got used to it. Looked gorgeous.
