Garage broken in to - which lock

SaltLiquorice · 25/07/2017 16:22

We have a garage in a block round the corner from where we live. Another garage in the block was broken in to over the weekend so we need to up the ante.

Is anyone able to recommend the strongest, safest lock to fix ?

Thank you

What kind of door does your garage have?

It would be a faff to use, but you could get two bolts and put them in each of the bottom corners with padlocks. (Make sure you use round headed bolts on the outside.)
Assuming it's an up and over door, of course.

We had the same problem. DH fitted Enfield Garage Door Bolts. Other residents in the block have fitted the same. Have a look on utube for information & good fitting instructions.

Oh, thanks for the replies - I've been out.

It's a cheapish pull out and over door. We're fine with putting extra bits on the garage door for bolts, it's just we don't know what is recommended.

Nomdeplum...I'm away to watch your two videos, thank you.
