So, the survey on a property we looking to buy identifies asbestos in the garage. It has asbestos walls apparently which is safe in its current condition. This is a bit unsettling especially as we had planned to turn into a play area (actually too small for a modern car says the surveyor). We want to remove it, I understand that the whole garage would have to go. Has anyone got any experience in doing this and if so, help me out with what this might cost? Also, we are yet to exchange, would this be something that would re open the price negotiation?
