Anyone have a Minerva worktop?

Trying to 'value engineer' the cost of our new kitchen and the designer has proposed a Minerva worktop (we had originally chosen Compac stone which from what I can gather is essentially the same product as silestone).

Compac and Silestone have a high Quartz content (90+%) making them very durable from what I've read. However, they are of course rather pricey and as we're having a L-shaped island a seam may be visible where the two bits join (Minerva can be cut to template as one large piece).

Does anyone have Minerva? I've read some shocking reviews online! Having it in a Carrara White if that's relevant (so scratches etc less likely to show I guess).

WE've got black silestone with a bit of sparkle in it and we have some joins. They do it with a special bit of kit using the same resin it's made with and you can barely see the joins. It is expensive but looks really good and I'm pleased we stretched to include it. Here's a pic: can you see the join?
