Painting a wood and plastic front door. How??

Our front door appears to be mostly wooden - main part. But the beading stuff around the glass looks like plastic. It's gone completely yellow while the rest of the door is white.

I'm guessing I can't put normal gloss on the plastic bits?

What do I do? 😬

you could find a glazier or joiner willing to take out the glass bead and glass, and re-fit it with new. There are people who specialise in repairing doors and windows, because plastic ones are common and troublesome. Unlike wooden ones which are commonly going strong after a hundred years.

You can gloss paint some plastics, but it may affect them and they might go brittle and crack, or soft and sticky.
