Can anyone help with wet room ideas?

I'm thinking more along the tiling etc lines as the actual plans are not my call ( disabled adaptations ) we will be given the option of choosing tiles and fittings though other than the shower itself.
I think it has to be non slip tiles or are there other flooring options?
And the same on walls? I want it to be a calming atmosphere but it is likely to be quite dark, possibly no windows due to where it's being fitted.

There was a wet room at a Air BnB I stayed at a couple of months ago. It didn't have windows but was really nice so I took pics of the whole apartment.

I've had good experiences at ToppsTiles and just asked the staff to point out the ranges most suitable for my needs. You could also consider a vinyl but the installation on that can be a pain in a wet room as it need to go up the walls a little way.
To achieve calming but light, consider more than one light source which can be operated independently. We have a windowless dark green shower room with one LED overhead light that replicates 'sunlight', and a two shaving lights either side of the sink which give off a whiter light.

Thanks both. Just realised I've somehow done two threads not sure how!
I like those pics of the air b and b. We will be having a screen less room which has thrown me a bit as I'm not sure whether that means it will look best all in the same tiles with no separate shower area other than drainage. Or maybe I need different floor and wall tiles to break it up?

Ah I suspect it vinyl is available then we will be offered that but will probably pay the difference and have tiles. Wasn't sure if it was possible. That's a good idea about different light sources I will definitely look into that .

If you can match in the grab rails to tiling so they blend away better that can help make it feel less like a universal wet room - unless you are fitting this for visually impaired person - then bold colour grab rails are better .

Thanks good tip. She's not visually impaired so that would look good.
