Hello, I have been on the council list over a year now I have had priority A (or so they say) since November last year due to overcrowding as I have a 13month old and now a 3 week old baby! Sharing a room with them both is more than difficult and I am seeing people been offered properties who are less overcrowded than me! does anyone have any advice Or suggestions how I can try speed them up?

If its the same as it is here you wont count as overcrowded enough to go up a band until your two bedrooms short of requirement so eg 3 children in a 1 bed or 5 children in a 2 bed. If your just 1 bedroom short youll just be waiting until your at the top of the list. Theres also a rule here that you have to go somewhere with 2 doubles if you have 2 children which severely limits what you can bid on further. My BIL/SIL are in a single 1 bed flat with a 1 and 2 year old and been estimated a 5year wait in this area. Its crazy!

Yeah I don't think the council really see that as overcrowded any more because you could sleep in the sitting room on a sofa bed and the children have the bedroom so not actually that overcrowded.
