What to offer?

I'm a bit clueless on this putting in an offer for a house thing. We've seen a house we really like which is on the market for £299,950. It's been on the market since mid May. What would be a realistic first offer? Obviously I want to get it for as low a price as possible but I don't want to take the piss!

I'd say around 280-285k you can always go up but not down!

£270,000

Can you post a link?

What have other comparable nearby houses recently sold for?

fannydaggerz · 14/07/2017 20:02

I would put in £280,000

Watto1 · 14/07/2017 20:07

Thanks all. I was thinking £275k so not a million miles away. Not going to post a link as I don't want anyone else grabbing it!

£270k so 10% lower and go up from there if necessary.
