Hi All
I currently live in Bramhall and have a 2 yr old and a 7 yr old. I love where we live, good schools, lovely village. My husband works in Halesowen and lives near there mon to fri.
We are now looking to move so we can all live together as after nearly 2 years its a bit much living apart during the week.

Due to my daughter having a rare medical condition it is important to still being within a good distance to Manchester Childrens Hospital and i would like to be a good commute from nearby family.

Has anyone any recommendations of areas? Close to the M6. We have so far looked at Holmes Chapel

Thank you

What's your budget and what type of property are you looking for?

Congleton and Knutsford are nice areas but your money won't stretch as far.

Sandbach is an ok area, your money may stretch much further in Crewe, which will benefit from a new high speed rail link in a few years time. Nantwich is also nice, but again more expensive.

You could also look around Northwich and it's surrounding villages - all hugely depends on your budget and what type of area you want to live in.

(I grew up in Crewe and we have been looking at moving back to the area between junctions 17-19 of the M6, so I know the area well).

Thank u so much for commenting.
Our budget is 350k and looking for an area with or close to some nice shops/ cafes etc. A lovely park to would be great.

Would like really good schools as she goes to a wonderful school currently.

I have a friends who live in Holmes Chapel, Cranage and Knutsford - all within striking distance of the M6. In fact one friend's DH did the same sort of commute for a while. Your budget would probably go further in Holmes Chapel & Cranage than in Knutsford. That stretch of the motorway is notoriously bad (Junctions 18 - Holmes Chapel and Junction 19 - Knutsford) but its the "right" side of Cheshire / Manchester for the M6 rather than Bramhall. Holmes Chapel have a little square of shops, not really a centre to speak of, Knutsford is more of a market town. Spend a day in each place having a look around to get a feel for it.

Hi Sianybean
Did you manage to move to the Holmes Chapel? If yes, how is it to live there?
I also live in Bramhall and have been thinking to move to Holmes Chapel. We have two children, 6 and 2 years old but more limited budget for the house than yours. Did your children get place in the school and settled well?
Thanks
