Low ceilings kitchen question

dementiawidow · 10/07/2017 18:48

I need to put a new kitchen but the ceilings are low (2060mm). Standard tall units for fridge, oven etc are 2150. Can anyone recommend who will do non-standard units or affordable custom made? Budget is not big. My user name is a clue to why - DH died and I need to sell house to pay off mortgage and move into annexe, which I am now converting. I need advice!

Ikea do a 2000mm unit which would be too high on its standard feet but you may be able to fudge to fit in, they also do an oven housing that's 3/4 height which might work too.

Use a foot like this instead of the standard and cut down the plinth www.amazon.co.uk/sourcingmap®-Adjustable-Kitchen-Cabinet-Furniture/dp/B012TBD67Q

I would speak to a few different kitchen companies. It would be fairly easy to customise an oven housing unit by slightly adjusting the shelf and door heights. Fridge freezer you may be better with a freestanding one. If the company is any good they will come up with a solution for you.

Is there an independent kitchen company near you, they may have access to a bigger choice of units than Wickes/Ikea. Second Nature stockists for example are normally fairly affordable.
