What's it like to live in West Wimbledon?

Hi everyone! I'm a mum to 3 boys (5yr old and 3yr old twins) and we currently live in Surbiton with my husband. We're looking to move more central and are considering west Wimbledon (our budget can't stretch closer to the village!). There's a property we've found on Ethelbert road - SW20 which the agents claim is a nice part of Wimbledon. Any views on what it's like to live around that area - specifically,

  • community (family friendly?)
  • any good primary schools
  • nearby green space - parks, playgrounds sighing walking distance
  • local amenities - e.g., nice cafes, restaurants, etc for couples night out and with the kids.
Any other general thoughts very welcome! Many thanks

Also interested in knowing if that road / SW20 is indeed raynes park vs Wimbledon. I'm confused by the distinction myself and am not a 'postcode snob' but my husband claims we're being charged a premium because the estate agents say that's not RP and it's west wimbledon proper which it might not be.
It's 0.6 miles from Wimbledon chase station and 0.5 miles from Raynes park...
Super stressed trying to decide if we should go ahead as we've been searching forever and are close to giving up! Keen to find a lovely home and area for our growing family.
Thanks so much!
