When should missives be signed - Scotland

Having major meltdown as 2 weeks today and we are meant to be moving - selling and buying on the same day...but our purchaser's solicitor still hasn't sent through the missives.
They are awful to deal with, missives were promised last Friday and never came through then promised again today and nothing! We've actually spoken with our buyer who reassures no issues his end and he too is chasing them, along with our solicitor daily. Is this normal??! I'm really starting to panic.
Also, can I complain to them or about them to the Law Society or do I not have a leg to stand on seeing as they haven't been instructed by me.
Such awful service and we've had a 13 week lead in so really there is no excuse. They have confirmed they have purchaser's mortgage confirmation and no other issues flagged up

I don't think you grounds to complain to the Law Society or SLCC and even if you did that would not get your missives concluded

In my (considerable) experience it is very unusual for a solicitor to delay concluding missives unless there is a reason

If you used an estate agent speak to them as they can speak directly to the purchaser and your solicitor can't

Has your solicitor spoken directly to the buyer s solicitor
In these circumstances as a sellling solicitor I would phone the buyer s solicitor and stay on the line until I spoke to him/her and found out what was happening
