Hi all. First post on the site although we've followed various threads in previous years. We are in the process of considering a move to Bishop's Stortford or the surrounding area (Elsenham, Takeley etc) from St Albans where we currently rent.
Does anyone live in these areas now or have any views as to the pros and cons of these areas, recommendations or places to avoid?
To give context, we are soon to be a family of 5 so ideally need a 4 bed or at least a 3 bed with potential to add or convert to a 4 bed. St Albans is prohibitively expensive hence the move. DH works by Liverpool St station in London so Bishop's Stortford area works very well from a transport perspective and we are encouraged by the general good quality of schools in the area.
Appreciate there was a thread on this a few years ago but if anyone has any views now they would be greatly appreciated! :)
