Extractor fan help required!

Due to total idiocy on my part I desperately need to find an extractor fan slim enough to still give the minimum clearance above a range cooker...

Can anyone recommend any recirculating extractor fans which aren't too deep so won't eat significantly into allowance between stove top and bottom of the fan? Smallest depth I've found so far is 13.8cm.

Any help or ideas gratefully received!

"too deep"

What is the space between your hob and your ceiling?

Is it gas or electric?

Is it on an external wall?

btw you say recirculating.

A recirculating hood is just a kitchen ornament, it serves no useful purpose.

OP, I am also looking...so far am going for an angled fan as my husband and i are both very tall and it give us more room

Piglet does recirculating not capture the grease at the very least?

Some

But it doesn't create suction in the room to prevent odours and fumes diffusing through the house, and it doesn't remove steam

I have been in kitchens when an old recirculator was removed and the kitchen units, especially the tops, were thick with hard congealed grease.
