Finding a new home

We've no accepted an offer on our flat from cash buyers. Only problem is there is absolutely nothing on the market we're interested in (the dream house was snapped up 2 weeks ago, typical).

I stalk rightmove/Zoopla etc and have registered with all the local agents. Is there anything else I could do? Letter drop? I feel so redundant just refreshing rightmove.

Speak to the agent marketing the dream house and register your interest should the sale not progress. If the buyers can't get a mortgage or something on the survey puts them off then you may have a chance. Also let local agents know your position and what you are looking for - you may be able to view things which are new to the market before they are listed online.
