selling house Part P certificate

we had a conservatory built around 10 years ago. we are now selling. i cant find the certificate to show the electrics were done to the correct standard.
what to do?

Have the buyers actually asked for it? If so there are several ideas on this link

thanks Emily. they havent yet, i guess its possible that the contractor might have notified the LA and it may show on the searchs. i am pretty sure that if the cert had been sent to me, i would have it .hard to remember 10 years ago though. we are all pretty desperate to get on and exchange!

If it's an issue and no cert can be traced the buyer may be happy with a periodic inspection report (condition report). It would probably be a couple of hundred pounds but it's piece of mind that nothing is dramatically wrong.
