Green stuff in my water and around taps

Hi,

Noticed that the inside of the water filter jug which I wash out each time I change the filter had a green slimy coating.
Around my sink tap where the joint is, there's something green and upstairs from the showered fitting.

What could it be? I've found a company that'll test my water, private charge of course - but I have to specify what I want it tested for.
Any advice? Thanks

It's algae - you don't need it testing Grin

Throw away the water filter and buy a new one, clean the taps with bleach.

It's because they are constantly wet.
