Surveyor coming round to view the house

We'll be having a surveyor come round to view the house in a few days, does anyone have any tips on how to get the best possible value?

Is it a surveyor or an estate agent? The surveyor mostly judges by square footage IMO.

Ah ok, yes a surveyor, not an estate agent. I was just wondering if there was any point in maybe doing a quick declutter or would it be a bit pointless?

We've just had one round and the house is full of boxes. He measured from the outside for the most part and said there would be no issues.

Nah, surveyor won't give a damn about clutter, just bricks and mortar!

We had one round yesterday. I did a bit of tidying, because I thought he might think untidy house = poorly maintained house. I may have been overthinking it though!
