Removing houses from Rightmove website

I have offered on a house, had the offer accepted, provided proof of my mortgage offer, had the full buildings survey completed, yet the house is still listed as 'for sale' on Rightmove. The agent assured me that this would be changed to 'under offer' as soon as the survey was completed. The house I am selling was removed from the site as soon as I accepted the offer! Any advice?

Have you got a friend to see if they can book a viewing ? One sure way to know they are still actively marketing

When we were buying, I found that some estate agents left them up in purpose to reel potential buyers in. When you call they say "oh sorry, that's gone but we have this".

Thanks Alfie Bear, that's more reassuring! I'll ask a friend to call them later today and see what they say. You're right Badger, just like hostage negotiation! Why can't it be more transparent??

Our buyer's house is still being advertised despite them accepting an offer in April.
I think it is really weird to allow your agent to do this as it does give the rest of the chain jitters that someone in the chain isn't trusted enough to stop looking for other interested buyers. It's probably an agent's plan to look like they have more high quality houses on their books at the moment when properties are scarce.
