Talk to me about...induction hobs

So I think I've been converted to induction, looking at opinions and reviews plus a few videos on YouTube.
I'm still slightly concerned about wok cooking and frying eggs if you can't tip the pan but think that the easy cleaning and speed of other things will outweigh these.
However I'm a but overwheled by the ! Do I want a flexi zone? Are slider controls better than the ones you press? Will I need the pause or booster buttons? Confused

Does anyone have problem using pans with a 24/28 cm diameter? All the hobs I'm looking at seem to show maximum diameter 21cm but if I'm using a large sautè pan is it not going to work?

no issues with large saute pan. Make sure it has got good quality heavy base else center is more heated as compared to edges.

Meyer cicrulon pans are fab for induction

I have a Samsung induction hob and my mil has a Miele. We both agree the Samsung is better!

Hmm.. we used to have Circulon but they didn't work. But maybe an older set?

That's good to know mum2015 hopefully I won't have a problem. Dh has said we can spend a bit more so am torn between an aeg and an electrolux. The electrolux seems to be less limited to pan size as long as it covers the little cross but there are more reviews of the aeg which has two flex zones. Argh too many decisions involved in doing the kitchen! First world problems! Hmm

Neff. Came with a set of pans. Part of the reason I picked it was that it doesn't have white markings to denote the pan areas, it just has very discreet lines. I wanted it to look just black and it does.

I used gas for over 30 years before getting induction when I had the kitchen done this time. Wish I had changed before, so easy to keep clean and use.

Tulips. Which Smeg one do you have & why don't you like it?
