We have two patio windows needing replaced. The glazier is here and done one window but the guttering is such that he has basically ordered the wrong size and is now fitting a second. We've complained to him and will take money off but I'm really concerned. Anyone know whether the job he's doing is correct? Essentially
(A) he's taken the wood panelling and rubber outer but off and not replaced it the rubber outer bits.
(B) there's a cm bit of black guttering round the window which means the window is not flush with the wood
(C) he's taking the static patio physically out ( though heard him discussing with his mate whether the pane of glass can be slid in and as DH has gone ballistic his mate is saying "tell him" so there is something else amiss.
My biggest concern is whether he's fit it correctly and if we will have condensation or other such problems. Does this sound right to glaziers out there? Especially the lack of replacement of rubber sealant around?
We're thinking of telling him to not do the second.
