We are moving home and booked a removal firm to do the packing as well. The chap seems pretty laid back about it and says you don't need to do anything they will come a day before do all the packing for us and the rest on the day. Out of others experience is this true that we don't need to pack or do much else and they will pack from scratch?

Yes - they are much quicker than you will ever be. They will also pack everything so clearly set aside anything you don't want packing, empty bins, etc or they'll just pack it all.

Sounds fab Sony mind me asking how much you're paying? I'd be interested in this!

We are paying just over a grand - move and packing (and any assembly reassembly inclusive)

They are great. However, be careful about stuff you want to keep private. I wasn't quick enough and they ended up packing my vibrator and my pelvic floor training device. Neither was in discreet packaging as I was planning to pack them separately. Wink

Pack an overnight bag and stash in the car. Also if you're planning on a clean up if the house you're vacating also keep that to one side. They will be amazingly efficient.
