Do I need anything between induction hob and cutlery drawer?

Think I remember reading something about needing a liner between an induction hob and a cutlery drawer beneath it... Kitchen designer didn't mention anything but noticed ikea sell one... What will happen if I don't have one? Will my forks melt??

We have nothing between our cutlery drawer and induction hob. Nothing has melted yet..... (6 years)

Check the hob instructions ( online if you can't find them ) - was a Miele one that advised against cutlery in the drawer below .
