TR1 Form

We are 8 weeks into the moving process (short chain- 3 properties) and have completed all documentation on our sale. Form TR1 signed and witnessed returned, additional enquiries answered etc.

We have just had the LA searches returned on our purchase and our solicitor is raising additional enquiries on our behalf.

Do we also have to sign and witness a TR1 form for our purchase? Or is it just the sellers that do so?

We haven't moved in a long time but can't remember having to get a witness twice?!

If it's just straightforward and there isn't a declaration of trust or covenants between transferor and transferee, you only sign the TR1 for the property you are selling.

Thanks fudge that's what I thought. Just didn't want to start pushing for exchange if we hadn't completed all necessary documentation!
