Aluminium window company recommendations please!

Want to replace our existing windows with new aluminium ones and to create a new opening for French doors. Have spent a lot of time looking at aluminium window companies but can't find any with good reviews. There are all the national pvc installers but I keep reading horror stories about them! So if you've had aluminium windows installed, and are happy with them - who did you use?! Thanks in advance.

Origin is a Uk based manufacturer of aluminium windows. I have one on the same wall as my bifold doors which are also by them (I wanted matching). I was told they were pretty much the only people who could do a one pane of glass window that large which would open.

Many window companies do them. I used Herts Bifold Doors (part of G&N Windows)

We went for Velfac, given our experience of them in a rented place. They're composite so timber inside alu outside

Question, when getting new window replacements, who normally fits these? Is it the builder or an approved fitter from the window manufacturer/supplier? Do we need to use an approved fitter for warranty reasons? We are looking at Origin Windows to replace existing.

We are having Origin bifold doors installed by Herts Bifold Doors installed in a few weeks. Hopefully all will go well. How was your experience?
