Have a quote from a plasterer, to plaster upstairs of my house 4 double beds quoting 2200 plus VAT includes ceilings

Full plastering or just skimming? Just the bedrooms or the landing, etc as well?

Our plasterer's day rate is £250 excluding materials. Has he told you how long he expects it to take him? And does it include materials?

Assuming the same rate, that is 10 days work, which including prep work seems fair to me.

That sounds great value £550 per double bedroom, including ceiling.

We paid £120 per day. How many days does he estimate it would take?

Sounds good value to me, especially if he is a good plasterer and comes recommended

For our 30sq metre living room walls and ceiling (removing the artex and plastering over), we paid £500 including materials. It took about 2.5 days. Personally, I find that quote expensive, but I've been spoilt by our crazy value for money guy.
