would this look strange - roman blinds

Hello!

Does anyone think the following would look strange:

1. Roman blinds (thick thermal ones) over thin sheer roller blinds we currently have for privacy. Would need to hang them slightly away from the window so they can hang over the blind. But can't see any images of this on the Internet so doesn't seem to be done much?

2. Having the roman blinds roll up above the top of the window so it doesn't block too much light

Currently have curtains but want to build a window seat in the recess and we think roman blinds would look better - and not block light on each side.

Any views (or anyone done similar) very appreciated!

This is the arrangement we have- romantic blinds hang outside recess and sheer blind next to window frame. It's not that sleek but it is practical, the sheers are needed as it's a south facing room with screens in that get glare.

We have wooden vertical blinds inside our large lounge sash window recess, with a roman blind fitted on the outside which covers the entire recess when closed.

It's made the room cozy, without having to add curtains which we didn't want.

Mime is the same as Goodwife but with a white sheer roller blind that is fairly inconspicuous against the window.

It's discontined, was from IKEA, this is similar.
