Can you read comments on a current planning application?

I mean if there is a pending planning application & neighbours object, are those objections viewable to the general public or are they only shown after the event?

All planning objections are in the public domain so can be viewed by anyone.

Should be shown as they are added, although there may be a moderation process before publishing.

Just having checked a local council planning website, it looks like the objections received were published before the end of the 21 days allowed for making comments as well.

They are published when they receive them. This allows other people to comment on the rubbish that some people think is an objection! It gives a chance to state facts instead of the lies that some people post! Most planning authority officers know what is grounds for objection but often members go along with inadmissible hyperbole for an easy life!
