Perfect fit blinds for upvc sash windows?

I have two upvc sash windows in my bedroom. Thinking about getting perfect fit blackout blinds but not sufe if they would be a good fit for sash window. Ive been to a showroom and sales person said they would be fine but my partner thinks they will be too thick to slide windows up/down.

Has anyone have them on sash windows and can share experiance?

Many thanks.

I agree with your DP. How could the blind on the bottom section of sash sit flush enough to leave enough of a gap for for the top window to glide over (or vice-versa)?

Does it have to be perfect fit blinds? Is it the edge to edge blackout element you are looking for?

No it does not need to be perfect fit blinds but I am scared to let anyone drill into plastic frames. There is not enough recess so brackets would need to be fixed into upvc frame

Perfect fit are fixed onto the window edges so you wouldn't be able to open the window as the edging is fixed onto the window.
