How long would you/did you wait for vendors to find somewhere?

Just that, really. It's been three months since our offer was accepted and we are (very) ready to proceed - our own sale is (slowly) moving along. When we offered, vendors had had an offer accepted but the property was then withdrawn from the market. They made an offer on something recently but didn't get it.

How long would you, or did you, wait for vendors to find somewhere? Did you move into rented to keep your sale?

We waited a year. It was awful. We had to rent in order not to lose our buyer, and we nearly lost the purchase at the last minute before exchange. It was probably worth it, as nothing as good has come up in that area in the year since then. Depends how much you want the house really!
