Anyone bought a Rockdoor online?

As title, really. Could go through a local glazier but frankly they have a slight attitude problem and I'm loath to give them money, plus we're not convinced they're ever the best value.

We bought a Rock door about 2 years ago. I put my details on their website and the installer local to me for got in touch to discuss designs, and arrange a visit to measure up. The whole process was very smooth.

We just had a rock door installed last week. I LOVE IT! We did as below. Put our details into the website and our local installer contacted us. For us, it was Rock Solid Doors who were the installers and they were absolutely amazing. Cant recommend them highly enough.

Brill, thanks. I was vair excited yesterday by an old MN thread that said they'd scrapped the porch and internal front door and the RD was still keeping things three times warmer this is my life now. Might call on Monday and see who else they've got in our area that's not that glazier. We've put an enquiry through GAP using the design tool but it wouldn't load the guide price at the end. Expecting between 2-2.5k for an Ultimate with a couple of extras plus one side panel. Would that sound about right? We found a small co who do online orders but they seemed cheap (but then don't have the overheads of showrooms etc.).

Also, if you don't mind, what were the lead times on your doors for production? We know exactly what we want and it's going onto an extension so nothing there yet to measure up per se but the builders need us to confirm final door dimensions this week.

We paid £2225 for ours. This was the mid range - can't remember what it was called. Ours is absolutely enormous. The opening is over 3m high and we have a huge panel of glass above the door as well as one side panel. The fitters said it was the largest that had ever done. Took them 12 hours in total! Can't remember lead times but it was fairly quick. 3 weeks maybe?

Blimey - bet that looks ace! Seems a good price for the size and extra panels. That's reassuring about lead times, thanks.
