Sage green kitchen units - advice for walls please

We have just had a new kitchen fitted but didn't think about wall colour when we ordered it.
Our house is Edwardian and the kitchen is 2 rooms knocked in to one - the former small kitchen is still the kitchen area and what I think is the original morning room is now the dining area. We have light sage green units, a brown stone worktop and chalk tiles in the kitchen area with stainless steel range cooker and accessories. The floor throughout is oak. The room faces east so only gets morning sun and we currently have the walls painted a bright lime green which looks good. I think we need to keep a bright colour on the walls - any suggestions appreciated!

Sage is a muted colour and doesn't really work (imo) with bold brights.

I have a sage (more grey than green) kitchen with pale creamy/buttermilk coloured stone tops. My walls are jasmine white, the room is large (about 35ft long x 15ft wide) and East facing. We have colour is the rest of the house, but the colour in the kitchen comes from the units and the fabrics (lots of windows with Roman blinds).

I agree I'd keep it plain. Currently looking at my green kitchen with black appliances, white walls, grey worktop and wooden floor and shelves. I can't imagine painting any large area of wall any colour. (Although we have a small steel beam I'm planning to paint dusky pink!)

Maybe attach a pic so we can see exactly what you have?

Thanks for your thoughts but I really need a strong colour - the kitchen units are only in a small bit of the room (probably less than a quarter of the total size of the room) so it would look bland. Thought about taupe but since the units are light in colour, I would have to go quite dark which wouldn't look great at night - it is a bit of a party room.

Under the post message box there are 3 'choose file' oblong buttons for images. Click on the button and then it will bring up boxes to allow you to browse your folders to wherever your photo is stored on your device.

Marking place because I've just ordered a sage kitchen from diy kitchens. I'll have wooden worktops a York stone colour karndean floor and I've no clue what colour to do the walls. (Sorry to hijack OP)

What device and platform are you using?

Could you add colour with accessories? We are about to have greeny grey units put into our kitchen when the builders finally start and I was planning to put an off-white/creamy colour on the walls (it'll be a kitchen/diner knock through job), and have colour with things like pictures on the walls and tablecloth etc. That way it's changeable.

Aubergine purple would work with sage if you really wanted some colour on the walls but might be best on just one or two areas.

'Espalier' wallpaper by Pierre Fry would be nice. I can't link but if you look at the Instagram of Rita Konig there is a picture of a kitchen using it, and there is a close up in House and Garden. Just happened to see it today and thought it was nice.

If you really want to go dark rather than adding another colour can you carry on the green but go darker if the units are quite light, maybe a khaki colour?

I've tried Chrome, IE and Android but getting no options for adding files.
Aubergine looks great with sage but wouldn't work in the large area. Lavender is also good but too sweet for me in this room. I'll try terracotta testers and maybe coral, but that may also be too sweet for me.

Have you tried DIY's style kitchen tool? You can change wall colours on that and there seems to be loads of them - www.diy-kitchens.com/style-kitchen-tool/

I've got sage units in an east facing kitchen with Duluth white cotton, it looks lovely. I really can't imagine a non-neutral colour looking right with those units. Could you have a neutral colour around the kitchen and then a feature wall the opposite end of the room? Or just a different colour in the dining area? Something muted like chalky grey, pink, lilac?

White or a very light colour of similar shade.

I think Pointing by F and B would work as if is a warm white. Accent colours could be pale pink or coral. Too much of a bright colour makes the room look a bit garish in my view but cushions, chair covers, kitchen accessories and pictures can add colour and expression.

Try F&B Mouse's Back. I have it on one wall in a pale sage green kitchen and it is lovely
