Is it ok to put velux windows over TV/sofa area

I saw many lovely photos of kitchen/dining/living extensions where there are a row of velux windows put above kitchen or dining table area usually if extension is a bit like side return type along that side portion.

Problem with our extension layout is the roof where we can put such a line of velux is either over a wall above TV or at side of wall over TV. We do watch TV during daytime and I am not sure if those velux will cause too much glare. What do you think?

I would get Ines with blinds. Problem solved!

Yep, as above, Velux do excellent fitted blinds including blackouts

Depends on the size of the Velux. Ours for the loft cost about £100 per blind - they were blackout manual ones & I had to fit them (but it was easy). If your windows are high up, you can get electric blinds, and windows. I'm going for electric on the window opening when we do the kitchen extension.

Thank you. It would be around height 2.7m. I think I can buy the manual fitted blinds and hopefully manage with a step ladder/stool.

Just get a £20 extendable pole. The hook that allows you to open the window will also work on the blind edge.

Thank you. Velux added to the plan now.
