Integrated tumble dryer

Getting all appliances rounded up for our extension and there doesn't seem to be a great mix of above and have been told they are not great quality, apparently made by white knight under the name of caple and CDA ...has anyone got one...what do you think etc etc ..Howdens do lamona but heard they're not great either!

No. Don't get built in. It is better to have a high quality free standing that uses less electricity and is quiet! I used to have built in but when that gave up, I just wanted a good dryer. Mine is a Miele but any German make will be good. I have a laundry room and it is in an open front purpose built cupboard above the washing machine to take up less floor space.

those who have dryer in cupboard or a confined place, does your dryer not release vapours? I have a john lewis own brand heat pump dryer but it caused moisture around it. Also when i viewed a house with a dryer in garage, it was causing vapurs and moisture around it.

My mums integrated white knight is better than my Miele

Don't have a utility unfortunately and it has to be integrated ...can't have it sticking out of a run of units ...oneplan had a good idea of 2x washer dryer ..that might be the answer ..there is a lot of adults in the house so worth thinking about
Ferris is the door flimsy in the white knight ? I think that seems to be the problem so I've read

I don't think a white knight could be better then my Miele. How is it better than A+++ with every setting going for various ironing choices, fabrics and finishes? Perfect every time. Also Miele last for years and are well made and solid. It also has a huge capacity with a big drum for easy loading. I have it at eye level.

My dryer is in an open cupboard (at the front) and the waste water is plumbed into the drainage for the washing machine. It does not need to be vented and is a condenser dryer. Some of the old ones collected the water or some just released it out the back as steam which should be vented outside!!! Modern ones are plumbed in!

Much as I hate washer-dryers I am not sure that is true. They can't dry a full load of washing but they should dry just fine if they aren't overloaded.

The horrible cheap indisit in my rental flat managed to totally dry clothes.

Probably would work if I left it in for 2 hours with 1/3 of a load but that seems a lot of electricity to me. It never worked on my towels, which was what I wanted it for. Having had a dryer in a previous house the difference was noticeable.

Bojo- yours sounds like mine, but I'm far from happy with it.
Yes it has a million cycles but I've only found one that actually dries the washing fully.
The white knight has hot or warm and a timer. It dries the washing properly and takes the creases out. Nothing wrong with the door as far as I can see.

You want one with a sensor so it turns off when the clothes are at the desired dryness, rather ban a timer where it could be on for another hour just going round with dry clothes in it. My aeg from 7 years ago does this.

Personally I go for the one with the longest warranty regardless of make. Samsung has good warranties at the moment

Yes I've been looking at the white knight as opposed to CDA etc ...my friend has one and she showed me today ..has had it 8yrs and was £89 !! Checked door ,not flimsy she said it's great ...ferris do you have one ?

My sil has one and recommended it to my mum who is v fussy. I've used it loads.

Why not increase your worktop depth by 10cm? Then have cupboard doors covering your free standing appliances. They won't stick out.

Has anyone had a Bosch one?
I've only ever had Bosch washers and they are very good. I could do with an integrated one as I have little room.
