Where did you get your Quartz work tops from?

We've settled on quartz. I've had a quote from Mayfair Granite - very pushy and salesy but price is ok. They have been try to scare me with stories of sub standard chinese made quartz which other online retailers use and can only 'hold the price until the end of the day' so they are annoying the crap out of me but I'll use them if price is competitive and as he told me 40000 times they have great online reviews.
Anyone got any recommendations/pics of their work surface?

Thanks

It is quartz we would be getting from 'Mayfair granite' btw!

Wait until tomorrow and see what the price is then! Why would it change? I wouldn't be pressurised.

Well I used granitewoods.co.uk for my granite work tops and they also do quartz, they were very professional and reasonable. Might be worth talking to them for independent advice. But anyone who pressurises you is more interested in the sale than your satisfaction.

Oh sorry, I didn't make it clear, I'm not making a decision until I'm ready. I just want to investigate alternatives. Those pushy sales tactics are beyond ridiculous.

Used a company in Cheshire who I would thoroughly recommend if you're anywhere nearby!

Our granite work tops came from the monumental masons at the bottom of our road according to the previous occupant - he was very proud of this fact.

Local place imaginatively called Croydon Granite. Other places couldn't quote cheaper and the guy there was really nice. Fitters good too.

We used Diapol in our last house and will be using them again soon for our utility room and kitchen in our new one. Really great product and customer service and so much cheaper than other suppliers. Worth doing a search on here as other people recommend them (it's why we went with them).

I used affordable granite for our quartz worktop and they were a really good price and fitted very well and quickly.

We used the Marble Group (north of London) for our quartz. It looks like marble but is quartz. Really good service and price seemed about right.

Just had a quote from Affordable Granite. Really expensive!!! Try Hearne Marble and Granite in South Bucks

braccoowner · 15/05/2017 12:28

And beware 'own label' worktops. Just had a really bad experience buying from local kitchen designer (who bought from Stone of London), and now having to have it replaced. Quartz is not quartz and the quality of some of these cheaper imports just isn't good enough.

Stone Circle in Newbury and Basingstoke is good, IMO. They're one of, if not the, biggest UK supplier of one of the branded quartz. Despite doing very high end jobs, they came out cheapest for me on both granite and quartz. I needed joins and I can barely see them - their fitters work for the company - they don't sub out which can be another issue.

The marble shop in Reigate.

Sell.lots of different brands amd don't push towards the most expensive.
