Hello

We are FTBs moving into our new property very soon.

We need to buy fridge, washing machine and dishwasher, so fairly big spend in one go. As we are moving from rented we dont really have any prior experience of buying white goods.

Any recommendation where to buy them from? We were thinking John Lewis just to ensure good quality and customer service but obviously they are fairly pricey in comparison to other retailers. We were also looking to AO.com but their reviews vary.

We dont intend to change kitchen any time soon, so we want white goods to last but at the same time dont want to pay over the odds.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

My most recent purchases have been from AO and Next (AO in disguise). I usually do my research and decide what appliance make/model I want first and then search for the cheapest place I can buy it.

Beware! Biggest downside to AO is the insurance selling phone call you get afterwards. I find the calls are slightly creepy as they chat to like they are your best friend for the first 5 mins and then the true nature of their call becomes apparent when they throw into the conversation ... ' it's such a shame, if your broken dishwasher had had insurance you wouldn't be having to buy a new one today so therefore - would you like to buy cover for your new appliance so that you won't be in this dreadful position ever again' Blah blah blah - it pisses me off no end but I can put up with it.
