Thinking of moving to Glossop, Macclesfield or surrounding areas. What's it like for schools, things to do with young DC etc.

Traffic is appalling in Glossop.

+1 re traffic. Glossop is essentially a traffic jam.

+2 re Glossop has horrendous traffic problems and very poor air quality and surprisingly high levels of crime for what seems like a nice area on the face of it, especially property crime, anti social behaviour, car vandalism etc

It's a pretty big area - what about the Disley/New Mills area? Good rail links, the new airport relief road taking pressure of the A6 and we'll positioned for lots of places in the Peak District.

Family live in Macc. I really like it. It's s large town with good links and a range of shops & services.
