Loft conversion window question

The new stairs will be going where our current en suite is. There is a small window in there currently. I'm after some guidance as to what to do with it. There will be a new window added in the stairwell at the top and possibly a roof light too so light not an issue.

The window is going to end up sitting just above the stairs which I'm worried might look a little odd. Builder says he could brick it up but says it might not look great from the outside as all our windows have a kind of decorative render frame around them.

Another option I've thought of but don't know if it's practical, is to leave window in place but board up on the inside.

Any suggestions as to what would look best? Thanks

I would just leave the window as it is, always nice to have more light. Maybe fit a plain blind in the same colour as the walls if you want it to look less obvious from the inside.
