Kitchen tiles...not metro

Can anyone inspire me with kitchen tiles that aren't metro?
White matt slab kitchen and mid colour wood effect laminate. Had thought larger white tile with some sort of texture or something (like laura ashley Finsbury tile) also quite like some of the grey patchwork tiles but think they might date quite quickly.
Dh thinks that white will be boring and we should put some colour in, I'd thought of just painting the walls a teal or blue colour and then it's easily changed.
Im seriously fed up of making decisions!

what about glass tiles? Also glass mosaic tiles.

This company have lustre tiles in nice colours but maybe a bit too rustic looking for your kitchen.

They have some lovely ones but yes think they would be too rustic.

The only ones I really love are these mosaic ones but we would only be able to do an upstand height and hob splashback in them so don't know if that would look silly. Like the hexagon ones (missed in with white ones) but worry that they would date.

I get what you mean - there's too much choice out there!

After much discussion, we went for a cream unbevelled metro type tile in our kitchen, but we only them as a cooker splashback. They go with the kitchen and the house. They look classic and are a great contrast to the black range cooker and black glass cooker hood.

In a previous house we had square white tiles which were in when we bought the place - dull, dull, dull.

What about something like this? The grout colour could be white for a more subtle look or you could choose a colour for more impact?

I like those small hexagonal tiles. I bet tilers hate them!

I like those ones wowfudge, have some pinned but can't seem to find them online in white, they are all a mix of colours.
I said the same thing to dh boutique the mosaics but he just said that's what he's paid for!

Have a look at Baked Tiles and Solid Ceramics - their websites are not very user friendly on the phone, but they have some different stuff. Also Topps have some geometric tiles which could work? Porcelanosa often have interesting tiles too.

I feel your paint - we did a huge extension/ renovation and the only bit that nearly broke me was tiles - too much choice and too permanent.
