Paint fumes. Have I made a mistake

We got our bedrooms painted today and I put my dc's to bed in a bit of a rush as they were both over tired and DH is away.
Only now that I have sat down have I thought that they shouldn't be sleeping in their rooms. The paint is low VOC but it is smelly. Should I wake them up and move them downstairs? Will this harm them. Am I over reacting? They are 3 and 5.

I have had similar panics in the past. Just make sure the door or window is open enough for the air to flow through a little. They'll be fine.

Open the window

Its fine. Open a window. No one is that fragile.

Ok phew, Thank you! Windows and doors are open!

Low VOC paint, no worries.

I find even emulsion paint gives me a headache.

If they wake, put them on the couch.

Low voc means water based. It's not a problem
