Single Ovens Neff Or Siemens

Hi

We are getting a new kitchen in the next month or so and have been looking at the Neff hide and slide oven but have read several reviews which say to avoid because of problems with the door falling off. If you own one have you had any such problems?

The other make we are considering in Siemens.

Any pros and cons for both would be much appreciated :)

Thanks
D

I bought Siemens 5 years ago. It broke after 3 years, needed new control knobs. Now the grill has stopped working. Apparently this is unusual though Hmm

Thanks, doesn't fill me with confidence, maybe I need a rethink.

Can anyone recommend any brands, I am having 4 appliances next to each other, 2 single ovens, microwave and coffee machine, so that they all match, so need a reliable brand.

We used to have a Neff single oven. It heated up quickly and seemed good. There were only two shelves though which was annoying. I sold it when we ripped the old kitchen out.

I love my Neff oven. I've had it 15 years and it's never gone wrong. Mine is a double, but I do love the idea of having two singles side by side. I love the idea of the door sliding under, but no experience of them so can't advise on that.

Our Siemens single pyrolytic oven is 11 years old and looks like new. It is built in at eye level. Never had a problem with it. We have their matching microwave built in above it.

The door has never fallen off our Neff oven. We have two side by side, it's great.

2 side by side single Neff ovens here too. Love them. I don't quite get the draw of hide and slide though unless you have a really thin galley kitchen or a child whose about as tall as an open oven door and clumsy, so if the door issue relates just to the hide & slide, just get the normal ones.

Our Neff oven is always 10% under temperature and heats unevenly. Had engineer out, claims it's within usual tolerance. Never again!

Single neff slide and hide here with matching side by side combi microwave and warming drawer. Love them!

There is a fab Samsung oven that has a divider so you can have different temps top and bottom, so essentially a double oven Ina single oven space also comes with a great guarantee. It's much better than my Siemens I had
