Kitchen worktop dilemma

I'm in the middle of kitchen renovation and trying to find worktop supplier Confused. We'd like to go for solid surface worktop.
What would you recommend other then corian? Who would you recommend to supply/ fit it?

TIA

Silestone. We used Rock Revelations, they work all over the country

Quartz - have / have had a number of brands and all brilliant. Do a ring round your local suppliers. Also if you don't need massive lengths / island piece, go and see what offcuts they have. That's what I did for a previous (smaller) kitchen, the price is usually discounted.

Silestone or alternative quartz product over Corian any day.

Would get Matt not shiny finish. Had both, shiny always looked dirty unless I spent ages wiping down.

Thank you so much for all your comments.
We'll have rather wide island. Would quartz/silestone be seamless? Are the joints visable?
