Help - shower tray sealant?

I have just solved the problem about why the floor was wet in front of our shower - there's a hairline-crack about a CM away from the plug / drain, going almost all the way round. We are saving up to get it re-fitted anyway, but don't have enough yet. Is there any way of sealing it as a short-ish term measure? I'd wondered about silicone like you put round the bath, but I think it would need to be more heavy-duty than that. Has anyone any recommendations?

Do you have a bath? If you do then attach a shower spray to the bath taps and use that instead temporarily. The leak from the shower will only get worse and cause more damage. I'd look to take the shower out and let everything dry out.

Waaa you're right of course! I was just being hopeful... we have a bath as well, but (!) the shower from that has a slow leak behind the tiles. We had someone out to look at it, and it seems that the only way to deal with that is to make a hole through the bedroom wall and see what's going on behind it (without taking down the tiles from the bath - I hope that makes sense!) so that would mean we have to replastered / redecorate the bedroom. Hopefully that would only be a quick re-tighten of something (ever hopeful), but hassle / mess we could do without, and that's assuming it's easily fixed .
However, I'd not thought of a shower attachment thing (need an embarrassed face emoji) so that's something - thank you!
I am fully aware I need my big girl pants on, and act like a grown up!
